The Smart Village app is part of the “Smart Tourism Hub” project of the Municipalities of Pula and Teulada, for the creation and improvement of tourist and recreational itineraries, and the setup of active tourism infrastructures linked to low-impact sports and recreational activities.
The intervention is funded by GAL SULCIS IGLESIENTE CAPOTERRA E CAMPIDANO DI CAGLIARI LOCAL ACTION PLAN – QUALITY AND SUSTAINABILITY FOR AN INTEGRATED RURAL DISTRICT PSR SARDINIA 2014-2022 INTERVENTION 19.7.5.2.1.5 Unique code 78541 Call 19 Sub-measure 19.2 – GAL public call interventions “Creation of small-scale tourism infrastructures”.
The main features of the app are:
- Interactive map and itineraries
- “Turn-by-turn” GPS navigation on georeferenced itineraries, with tap on POIs for descriptive sheets, images and visit suggestions; thematic segments (culture, nature, food and wine, crafts).
- Content with clear and inclusive language on museums, archaeological sites, nature and landscapes, traditions.
- Calendar of local events, activity sheets (trekking, biking, sea, birdwatching), safety rules and good practices for responsible use.
- Alerts on events, route changes, environmental awareness and seasonal safety recommendations.
- Proximity interaction (Beacon): interaction with strategic points of the territory to activate proximity content (audioguides, local stories, digital micro-exhibitions)
- Connection with the “Smart Village” project.
